Outside

Windsor Rd Getting out of the house is one of the best decisions I can make on a daily basis, so I don't know why I am always surprised by how wonderfully refreshing it is. Outside is full of all of Ignatius' current favourite things - noisy things; motorbikes, diggers, trucks, buses, planes and birds. He is in awe of just about anything that moves which is such a delight to see. Well... that is when he is not grumbling for no good reason we can decipher as of late... (thus the abandonment of accomplishing any kind of housework and heading out the door!) but on the whole, he is a charming chap. I love how much more of the world and it's peculiarities we see on foot (today, but often to be seen doubling on my bike these days). This is the suburb Joshua and I lived in as newly weds, so there is something lovely about being back here. I also spent a great deal of my childhood in this very house we now call home, with dear family friends who are now our kind landlords. We love this little patch of Brisbane. Vale St Another St street and lanterns The lamps are from an amazing antique lighting store up the road. I am so pleased these timeless corner stores still exist. Here is another charming Brisbane street near where we lived with my mum and dad last year.

  1. Oh I remember the whinging phase! Quickly followed by a speech explosion that resulted in Teddy at least being able to communicate vaguely what he was after - thank goodness :) Loving your pictures and words as always - much love xox

    1. Ha ha, yes, you know exactly what I am on about. I suppose the whining might be frustration. He is babbling away in sentences these days with the occassional 'English' word thrown in. It's exciting watching him become himself - if you know what I mean?~!

  2. Beautiful photos Shazzy dear. You do live in a lovely part of the world. I went to Mt Barney during the week and the Scenic Rim is so beautiful! I thought of you then as I thought you would take lovely photos there- we should go one day. :-) xo

    1. Oh, Mt Barney, was this a school trip? I have great memories of an extremely challenging but absolutely worthwhile climb up Mt Barney. We must do it again! xo

  4. Oh! beautiful! I love exploring streets like these... I feel so blessed with the neighbourhood we are in now (the one I grew up in) - for intriguing sights, for remembered scenes, for noise and movement - the bush and hill is home, but this is a wonderful wonderful change.
