Enough sunshine to dry clothes on the line...
Spring is here! It rained (and even snowed) for most of my Spring Break but the sunshine arrived on Friday and is set to stay for the rest of the weekend. Vancouver looks so different in the sunlight and I feel instantly healthier after a bike ride and some vitamin D! Image above courtesy of Jill Barklem, author and illustrator of the Brambly Hedge books.
Spring is;
clean sheets on the line,
rooftop sunshine,
yellow.
hydrangeas coming back to life,
crocus colour in suprising places; in a neglected pot of mint,
an unkept backyard.
pear tree buds of possibility,
sunny lawns,
under pink
shades.

Beautiful pics Shazz. You are such a talented photographer!
ReplyDeleteLove the 'pear tree buds of possibility'! Also, is that your rooftop? Nice pic. XX
ReplyDeleteThanks Pete, you're always an encouragement.
ReplyDeleteYes Alice, that's me standing on our rooftop, looking over to our neighbours deck. They are a Chinese family and use their tidy deck for drying all kinds of weird and wonderful foods. The pear tree is in our yard too! It's pretty old and wild and I am wondering if it's too late to prune it or if it might still help it to fruit...
Hi Gorgeous,
ReplyDeleteLovely to see Spring arriving- How exciting to see the place coming to life again. Love your photos.... and the poem. Yours?
Can't wait to see it all in person,
Love you three heaps,
Mumsciua
Yes, my humble attempt at poetry. Love you mum!
